Job Context:

Workspace Infotech Limited is looking for an experienced Full Stack Web Developer with strong expertise in both PHP and WordPress to join its development team. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, customizing, and optimizing full-stack web applications and WordPress-based solutions. The role requires solid hands-on experience in backend development with PHP, frontend technologies, WordPress theme and plugin development, database management, API integration, and troubleshooting. The position will primarily focus on full-stack web development, PHP-based application development, WordPress customization, performance optimization, and delivery of scalable web solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. • Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins. • Build responsive and user-friendly websites based on approved UI/UX designs. • Develop and maintain custom PHP-based web solutions. • Customize WordPress and WooCommerce functionality according to project requirements. • Integrate REST APIs, payment gateways, third-party services, and external systems. • Work with databases, queries, backend logic, and application functionality. • Troubleshoot bugs, plugin conflicts, security issues, and performance problems. • Optimize websites and applications for speed, security, responsiveness, and performance. • Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-structured code. • Use Git and follow proper version-control practices. • Collaborate with UI/UX, QA, Project Management, and other development team members. • Participate in code review, testing, deployment, and maintenance activities. • Complete assigned development tasks within agreed deadlines. • Maintain technical documentation where required.

Skill Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of PHP and MySQL. • Strong hands-on experience with WordPress development. • Experience in custom WordPress theme and plugin development. • Good knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX. • Experience developing and maintaining custom PHP-based web applications. • Experience with WooCommerce customization. • Good understanding of REST APIs and third-party integrations. • Knowledge of Git and version-control workflow. • Understanding of web security, performance optimization, and responsive design. • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work across both frontend and backend development. • Ability to work independently and within a development team.

Experience Requirements:

• 2 to 4 years of professional experience in full-stack web development. • Strong practical experience in both PHP development and WordPress development is required. • Experience in custom WordPress theme and plugin development is required. • Experience with WooCommerce customization will be preferred. • Experience with Laravel or another PHP framework will be considered an advantage. • Experience working on live client projects or production applications will receive preference.

Additional Requirements:

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science & Engineering. • Must have strong hands-on experience in both PHP and WordPress. • Must be comfortable handling both frontend and backend development. • Must follow coding, security, and version-control standards. • Must be able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently. • Must be able to work effectively with cross-functional project teams.
