About this course
Remote work removes the scaffolding that offices provide without announcing it. The structure of the day, the incidental learning, the visibility of your effort, the relationships that form without effort, the boundary between work and the rest of life — all of these were supplied by the building, and none of them is replaced automatically. People who do remote work well replace each one deliberately. They write clearly because they cannot rely on conversation, they build structure because nobody else will, they make their work visible because nobody sees it, and they defend boundaries because there is no commute to enforce them. This course covers the whole of it: deciding whether it suits you, finding genuinely remote roles, the setup and the daily structure, written and asynchronous communication, meetings and time zones, staying visible and promotable, and managing isolation and overwork — the two failure modes that end most remote careers.
