About this course
Most people dislike networking because they picture the wrong thing: a room of strangers, forced conversation, business cards exchanged with people you will never contact again. That version is unpleasant and it also does not work. What does work is slower and much less uncomfortable. It is a set of genuine professional relationships, built gradually, maintained with small effort, in which help flows in both directions over years. Most jobs, most opportunities and most useful information travel through those relationships — not through applications, and not through the room of strangers. This course covers the practical version: why weak connections matter more than close ones, how to map what you already have, how to start and sustain relationships without the transactional feeling, how to ask for help so people can act on it, and how to keep a network alive across a career.
