Executive / Senior Executive, IPD Billing

The Executive / Senior Executive – IPD Billing is responsible for managing inpatient billing operations to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant billing of all services provided to admitted patients. The role requires strong knowledge of hospital billing procedures, coordination with clinical departments, and maintaining financial accuracy in accordance with hospital policies and healthcare regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process complete billing for admitted patients including room charges, investigations, procedures, medicines, consumables, and professional fees.
• Generate final bills upon patient discharge after verifying all departmental charges.
• Cross-check charges with supporting documents such as investigation reports, prescriptions, and procedure sheets.
• Verify consultant visit charges, nursing charges, and package billing where applicable.
• Prepare billing documents required for insurance claims and corporate patients.
• Explain billing details to patients or their attendants when required.
• Assist in resolving billing-related queries or disputes in a professional manner.
• Maintain accurate billing records and documentation.
• Prepare daily billing reports and support reconciliation with the finance department.
• Coordinate with Nursing, Pharmacy, doctors, Laboratory, Radiology, OT, ICU, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and other relevant departments to ensure all chargeable services are properly captured.
