Deputy Manager - Planning

CBL is looking for a dynamic and analytical professional to join its Planning team as Deputy Manager – Planning.

This role is responsible for managing end-to-end supply chain planning and procurement operations to ensure timely availability of materials, effective supplier management, cost optimization, and uninterrupted business operations. The position will also support product costing and profitability analysis by monitoring procurement costs, supplier exposure, budgets, and financial performance while working closely with cross-functional teams.

• Supply Chain Planning & Procurement
• Prepare and analyze raw material requirements based on production plans, inventory levels, and consumption trends.
• Develop and execute procurement plans to ensure timely availability of non-lead materials.
• Manage end-to-end foreign procurement activities including supplier coordination, purchase order placement, shipment follow-up, and delivery tracking.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers in line with approved budgets and business requirements.
• Conduct supplier commercial evaluations considering price, quality, delivery performance, payment terms, and capability.
• Finalize purchase orders and ensure timely communication with suppliers.
• Monitor procurement cycles and coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery.
• Prepare supplier payment plans aligned with contractual terms and cash flow priorities.
• Maintain supplier ledgers and ensure proper reconciliation of procurement records.
• Monitor supplier credit exposure, outstanding balances, and credit limits to support working capital management.
• Prepare Budget vs. Actual procurement cost reports and analyze cost variances.
• Identify opportunities for procurement cost optimization and process improvement.
• Maintain procurement documentation for accuracy, compliance, and traceability.

Product Costing & Profitability Analysis

• Support product costing based on rolling forecasts and procurement costs.
• Analyze product-wise cost, revenue, and profitability to support business decisions.
• Coordinate with Finance, Commercial, Production, and other functions to collect cost and pricing information.
• Identify major cost drivers and recommend opportunities for profitability improvement.

Cross-functional Coordination

• Collaborate closely with Finance & Accounts, Commercial, Production, Planning, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth procurement and planning operations.
• Coordinate with suppliers, logistics providers, and business partners for efficient supply chain execution.
