Credit Manager

Credit Management

• Review and evaluate credit applications from corporate clients, travel agents, event organizers, and other business partners.
• Recommend appropriate credit limits and payment terms based on financial analysis and risk assessment.
• Maintain accurate credit files and customer records.
• Conduct periodic reviews of existing credit facilities and customer creditworthiness.

Accounts Receivable Management

• Monitor aging reports and ensure prompt collection of outstanding balances.
• Follow up on overdue accounts through calls, emails, and meetings with clients.
• Investigate and resolve billing disputes in coordination with Sales, Events, Reservations, and Front Office teams.
• Ensure timely posting and reconciliation of all receivable transactions.

Collection & Recovery

• Develop strategies to reduce overdue accounts and improve collection efficiency.
• Negotiate payment plans with clients when necessary.
• Escalate delinquent accounts to management and recommend appropriate actions.
• Manage legal recovery processes when required.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly Accounts Receivable and collection reports.
• Analyze aging trends and provide recommendations to management.
• Monitor Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and collection targets.
• Present credit risk assessments and collection updates during finance meetings.

Internal Controls & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Marriott International financial policies and procedures.
• Maintain proper documentation and audit readiness.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Ensure adherence to Bangladesh tax, VAT, and financial regulations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Sales & Marketing to review credit terms for corporate accounts.
• Coordinate with Banquet Sales and Events teams regarding advance deposits and settlement terms.
• Partner with Front Office and Income Audit teams on guest ledger and billing issues.
• Support Director of Finance in cash flow management initiatives.
