The bank is seeking a qualified and purpose-driven professional for the mentioned position within its Legal and Recovery Division:

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Ensure proper legal vetting, verification, and documentation of mortgaged properties for Home Loan and other mortgage-based facilities, safeguarding the bank’s legal rights and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide comprehensive legal opinions on property titles, ownership, encumbrances, and mortgageability to ensure the bank’s security and enforceability.
Prepare, draft, and review legal documents including Deed of Mortgage (DoM), IGPA, Tripartite Agreement (TPA), Indemnity Bond, MDTD, and other relevant instruments.
Review the accuracy of title search reports from enlisted law firms and coordinate timely physical searches and verification of property records.
Act as liaison among Mortgage Documentation Support Team, Asset Operations, Relationship Officers/BDM/TM/RH, Business Units, and enlisted law firms to resolve pending legal and documentation issues.
Maintain proper records of files, vetting, legal opinions, and executed documents to ensure timely completion within the stipulated TAT.
Conduct Top-up/Remortgage and OD-Renewal files; coordinate between Regional Operation Centre (ROC) and Head Office.
File and pursue legal cases as per bank guidelines; coordinate execution of summons, warrants, and court proceedings through appropriate authorities (if any).
