Why don't interviewers tell us which answers were wrong
I've been wondering about this for a while. I work in CSV (Computer System Validation) in the life sciences/pharma industry. During interviews, interviewers ask technical questions, I answer them, and they just nod and move on. Then a few days later, it's either a rejection or complete ghosting. What frustrates me is that in a niche field like CSV, you often don't know an answer was wrong until you later read documents, gain project experience, or talk to someone knowledgeable. Sometimes months later I realize, "Oh... that's what they were actually looking for." Why not spend just one minute saying something like: "That's not quite right. Read more about this topic before your next interview." I'm not asking for the complete answer or for them to train me. Just a small hint about where I went wrong would be a huge learning opportunity and would help candidates improve instead of repeating the same mistakes in every interview. Is there a reason companies avoid giving even basic technical feedback? I'd love to hear both interviewers' and candidates' perspectives.
