Which job offer is best for me?
Hi all. I’ve gotten some traction in interviewing with companies and while I don’t have any formal offers yet, I would like to prepare which I should take assuming I get an offer from every opportunity. I come from a P&C insurance background. Long-term goal is to keep progressing in my career. I’m located in Austin, Texas. All jobs are fully remote. Assuming all benefits/bonuses roughly the same. — #1. Product Analyst at a small P&C insurer. Would probably offer me around $70k, which is below market value I believe. However, hiring manager mentioned the expectation is that the product analyst hired would become a product manager for their respective states. I’m not sure when that transformation would happen, but considering she mentioned it early and it sounded like you just start out as a product analyst to know the ropes, I’m assuming <5 years. #2. Technical Analyst at a mid-sized P&C insurer. Has a large international presence. Would probably offer me around $85k. Recruiter mentioned how this company has a lot of positions opening because they’re expanding, and people got promoted. She said people grow here/get promoted and stay in the company. #3. Product Analyst at the same company as above ^. Would probably offer me around $85k as well. #4. Sr. Product Analyst at a large P&C insurer; big company name that everyone knows. Would probably offer me $85k. Salary range seems lower than I thought since it’s on par with other non-senior analyst roles, and this is a much larger company. #5. Product Owner at a mid-sized commercial insurer. Would probably offer me $120k. This opportunity is the most different by far. It’s…
