What's one thing you've recently done that has drastically improved your work-life balance?
When I upgraded to my Galaxy S26, I kept my Galaxy S22. Both paid in full. The S26 is my personal phone. Everything work related has been deleted.. even co-worker's contact #s. And my S22 is now my work phone*. In my role, I want to have access to certain works apps (others may not; you do you). I disconnected Google & unistalled literally every personal app, contacts, etc. I bought a 12-month cell phone plan for $180 & obtained a new phone #. I physically deleted my old number from my bosses two phones (no calling my personal phone if he can't reach me after hours or while OOO) 😂 & updated the company directory. I don't mind carrying two cell phones whatsoever. The ability to 💯 disconnect from work is so freeing! Not to mention, protecting my personal data** if something ever goes awry (no, I haven't done anything inappropriate, just still). *I work at a public HigherEd institution & despite being salaried, my employer does not provide cell phones or stipends for employees at my level. **In my state, if a personal phone contains company-provided email or software, the employer may legally access the work-related data, though this rarely justifies seizing the physical device itself. Best $180 I've spent in ages! $15/month is the equivalent to one lunch out. Worth it!
