What actually gets you hired?

This is a genuine question I see recruiters post on linkedin daily, like literally daily like that platform is the new twitter. Sometimes they'll post about tips, but I've found actually these tips dont work AT ALL even though they keep giving them. So my question is what actually works? Not copy and paste from the others, but what actually works. As a reccruiter, I think if you dont even know yourself, ppl will appreciate that honesty more than if you're regurgitating the same thing someone else said, cuz what Im seeing so far is they dont know cuz the power isnt in their hands, and it seems like at this point they're just puppets caught up in the shitty market trying to make sense of their own role in the industry. I feel like AI is coming for that job too btw Tailor your resume to the role - not true, and its not just me who's followed that tip, I feel majority of ppl follow it these days. But I also know other people who've done it but still neither of land a job for roles that we qualify for. It could be a thing where its so done now that it doesnt work as well as when ppl were not doing it but why keep giving it. This might be the number 1 tip you hear most. Dont use AI - really? I got an interview from doing that, so its interesting when they say not to use it. But I think they mean to make it look like you're not using it. Either way seems like something kind of pointless in the age of AI lol. Quality over quantity - yeah I mean, I dont know why you'd even give that advice. There's no way every resume you read is so bad that you assume 90% of ppl dont put effort. Plus its not like quality or not they're not getting…
