Wanting Out Of Education
I’ve worked in education for around 6 years (before that I did customer service type roles). Taught in secondary schools after my PGCE, then some supply and now I teach primary aged children how to be rockstars…think “school of rock” 🤘🏻 I’d like a change. I want a “normal” job. Maybe something in customer service. I’ve applied for quite a few jobs, but not even an interview! Being a teacher encompasses most of the skills needed for customer-focused role, does it not?! Why am I not getting invited for interviews? Why don’t businesses seem to like years of experience in education? I feel like I’m stuck. What on earth do I do next?!
