Thinking about pivoting from media/advertising into tech (Customer Success / Account Management) — realistic or not?

Hey all, hoping to get some outside perspective here. I've been in media/advertising for about 8 years, started out doing sales coordination/admin stuff, worked my way up to a senior planner & account/client management role. Day to day it's basically: manage a big portfolio of client accounts (70+ at the moment), keep retention high, do budget/revenue forecasting, translate audience data into recommendations, juggle a bunch of stakeholders internally and externally. Pretty fast-paced, metrics-driven environment. I'm starting to feel like I've hit a ceiling in media specifically and I'm eyeing a move into tech, thinking Customer Success Manager, Account Manager, or Partnerships type roles at SaaS/tech companies. On paper a lot of the skills feel transferable (relationship management, data-driven decisions, owning revenue numbers) but I have zero actual tech industry experience and I'm honestly not sure how realistic that jump is. Questions for anyone who's made a similar move (or works in tech hiring): Not in a rush, just trying to figure out if this is a realistic 6-12 month goal or if I'm underestimating how big the gap actually is. Appreciate any honesty, even if it's "nah this is harder than you think." Cheers,
