Should I be worried in my first month?

I’ve been in a new finance role for about a month where I do a lot of client meetings, report writing, and I’m learning several aspects of the job at once. Recently, my director spoke to me about a couple of interactions with colleagues that apparently came across as dismissive or argumentative. He also made it clear that I’m not in trouble, that he expects me to do well, and that the conversation was about helping me learn rather than disciplining me. One example was during a training session with a colleague. We had an hour booked, and I said I was happy to stop there and continue another day because I knew she was busy. My intention was to respect her time, but apparently it came across as dismissive. Another piece of context is that I’ve also been having some difficulties with another colleague who has been micromanaging me. I’ve already spoken to the advisers I work with about it, and they told me they were aware of her management style and said to let them know if it happened again. In fairness, I have found it difficult to communicate with her, and her deadlines have felt unrealistic while I’m still learning, which has led to some tension between us. My concern is that I’m now worrying colleagues have formed a negative opinion of me after only a month. Am I overthinking this, or does this sound like fairly normal early feedback when starting a new role? If you were in my position, how would you approach things from here?
