Remote data jobs- are they real or mostly bait and switch?

Data analysts/business intelligence type roles, they've been few and far between in my job search. Most listings that say remote turn out to be hybrid or based in a specific city/country once you read the fine print. Curious if anyone has actually landed a genuinely remote data role recently and where they found it.
