"My Employer Added Money to My Salary and now They Want It Back (And It's Exactly My Tax Exemption Amount)"
Hi everyone, Looking for advice from a labor/tax attorney or anyone who has experienced something similar in Morocco. My employer added an amount to my salary and later claimed it was due to an "technical incident" and will recover it from future payslips. The strange part is that this amount corresponds exactly, down to the centime, to the income tax amount I am supposed to be exempt from under my countrie's law. Other employees with the same tax status seem to be affected as well. I've already sent an email requesting clarification, but received no response. Can an employer recover money from an employee's salary without providing a detailed explanation? Would you recommend consulting a labor attorney or a tax attorney?
