Job Posting For A Job Very Different Then What I Applied For (NY)
I applied for a position for a nonprofit with a title of Recruiter and Compliance Coordinator. Job posting listed it as recruiting with some compliance including medical licenses were up-to-date, I9 documentation was correct, etc. I recieved a phone call yesterday from the VP of HR and we had a phone screen. She started listing benefit duties and I told her that I didn't apply for that role. They also had another job posted that is benefits-heavy including LOA, Workers Comp claims and Open Enrollment assistance. I told her that I applied for the Recruitng and Compliance position. She told me that they had filled that role and that this one was open. I was transparent and told her didn't have much benefits eperience and zero LOA and Worker's Comp claims experience. She went on to say that the job is only 25% LOA and the rest is recruiting. She immediately scheduled an interview with me and the AD who is also the hiring manager. Just got done with the interview and the AD also spoke about the benefits part of the job which would be handling all LOA including STD, FMLA,, etc. I asked her why did job posting focus heavily on benefits adminsitration and only had one line for recruiting is this was not a benefits role. She said they changed the job posting because it was not getting enought applicants. There is another round but I do not want to do LOA to be honest. It's such a different role from recruiting coordinator. It only pays $56k a year and I feel like once I join (if I get the position), the 25% benefits part is going to go up. She also mentioned I…
