Ill never escape retail limbo

Im a 23 year old who graduated with a bad degree and who is stuck in a minimum wage gas station right now. I feel like im falling behind in life even though ive tried hard to better my life for the past year. I did get a new job in sales that paid a little more for a month but it was a terrible place to work that set me up to fail so i went back to the gas station. I know there is that proverb to not compare yourself with other but like at some point you kinda have to right? Like an able bodied, grown adult should have using the toilet and tieing their shoes down. I feel like me not being financially independant or on my way to it are like that, a hurdle i should have crossed by now and each year i dont the more of a loser i become. If it were not for my parents id be homeless and probablly dead now in all honesty. I do help them when they need it and mow the grass for them weekly but like they could literally ruin my life and condem me to death via homelessness if they wanted and there is nothing i id be able to do. Idk what im looking for but i just feel really helpless and stuck in life. I literally dont think about my distant future at all since i cant imagine one for myself. Every day i keep applying and applying to jobs as my hope get less and less.
