How long after I start my first job should I begin looking for and applying to get my next?

Hey all! I got my first job a few weeks back, after a long time searching; how long should I wait before I begin applying to jobs again? Right now I'm pretty happy at my current job - the workplace environment is quite nice, and my coworkers are friendly, plus it's an activity I already enjoyed anyways - but it's a part-time job, so I'm not really making much - not nearly enough to really afford an apartment of my own, or anything.
