Ghosting in vet clinics

Seriously what the hell is with this? You do an interview, they say it’s great and promise to get back to you for next steps. Then if you actually manage to get a shadow or working interview (if they haven’t already ghosted), they promise to follow up after that, and you never hear from them again. You follow up multiple times and never get called back. Or the hiring manager is magically never there. This place promised I’d know if I had a job by a specific day, then ghosted. Another place did the same. How hard is it to simply say hey, we’ve gone with someone else. Especially when you literally did work for them for hours, and they said you did amazing. But the topic of working interviews is another can of worms by itself. Like don’t get me wrong I’m getting interviews, but because I don’t specifically already have experience in a vet clinic, no dice. Despite having animal experience elsewhere. They want someone with years of experience and they’re also only willing to pay $12-$14 if you’re lucky.
