Crazy Experience with “Fortune 500” Company

Hey all, long story, but I’m so baffled by the idiocy, and pure incompetence at almost every step of my so called journey applying for a role at one of those companies that from outside, it sounds perfect. But then you read about it and then experience first hand, and you wonder how in the heck has this company made it so far… Back in May 25th, I was contacted by a recruiter looking to fill an IT Manager role at one of the biggest car rental companies in the world. The shift would have sucked but the money and just getting the foot in the door would be worth suffering through third shift for a few years. After speaking with third party recruiter, the company scheduled a call with me and their own recruiter, who didn’t show up the first call, and showed up late when we rescheduled. Spoke to the guy and everything seemed to be good. Good enough to schedule a third interview with the hiring manager. The interview went great, they were acting very impressed with lots of implied “when” not “if” scenarios. But ok, maybe that’s just their way of getting people to bring their walls down. At the end of the call, I was told I’d be hearing back from them by the following Wednesday. The next day, third party recruiter called and spoke about how they were so impressed and that I should hear something back very soon. This was June 11th… Fast forward to the following Thursday when I didn’t hear anything back, so reached out to third party recruiter looking for an update, which he got an attitude with me and told me to be patient… Fast forward to July 1st and I’m finally told they are goi…
