Applying to jobs is like playing in a golf tournament

You can be Tiger Woods or any top tier golfer and have a -17. However, if some amateur is hitting a -21 that day, that amateur is the winner. It really sucks and it takes a piece of your soul, but you just have to move on and keep trying until you finally get a decent offer.
