I honestly can’t even believe I’m typing this right now. After 3 full years of being unemployed, sending out hundreds of resumes, dealing with ghosting, rejection emails, and feeling completely stuck—I finally signed a job offer today! It’s a full-time, hybrid Customer Support Specialist role at $20/hr with a stable Monday–Friday schedule, benefits, and performance bonuses. For the last 3 years, the job search felt like an absolute emotional rollercoaster. There were so many days where I felt like giving up or wondered if my experience was even enough. I ended up going back to school for an Office Administration program to upgrade my skills, kept refining my resume, and practiced my interview answers endlessly. When I went into the Zoom interview for this role, I made sure I was as prepared as possible—and today they officially offered me the position! To anyone who is currently in the thick of it, feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or questioning your worth: please don't give up. The job market is brutally tough right now, and the rejections take a toll, but your moment is coming. Keep tweaking your resume, keep practicing your story, and take care of your mental health along the way. If I can make it out after 3 years, I promise you can too.
