Absolute joke of a hiring "manager" call

I interviewed at this tech company in the design department (been around for 3 years, has customers, just got funding, 180k-185k (great but strangely tight range?) etc.). Three major red flags: - The person felt totally unprepared for the interview. I could tell they were asking questions off the top of their head. This is bad because you can't objectively evaluate candidates. - They had the same title as the role I was applying to. They weren't a manager and I would instead report directly to the CEO. Um wtf? Why would the CEO be my manager for 130 person company? Don't they have better things to be doing? - They opened the call saying they had a hard stop at the end then let the call go over by 10 minutes while enthusiastically asking me for additional questions I had about the company. Despite the last point, they said they weren't moving forward with no feedback given. The HM was the only decision maker at that point, why ask me for more questions?! Man, fuck this stupid industry.
