Waiter/ Senior Waiter

The Waiter/Senior Waiter is responsible for providing professional, courteous, hygienic, and efficient food and beverage service to patients` attendants, doctors, employees, visitors, VIP guests, and other customers within the hospital`s designated food and beverage outlets.

• Maintain a high level of hygiene, sanitation, and professionalism appropriate to a healthcare environment.

• Coordinate with the kitchen and concerned departments for special food requirements, where applicable.

• Ensure that food intended for patients, attendants, doctors, or staff is served to the correct location/person and within the required timeframe, as per established procedures.

• Follow all instructions regarding special diets, food restrictions, allergies, and patient-related food requirements without making independent dietary decisions.

• Immediately communicate any food-related complaint, allergy concern, incorrect order, or service issue to the Supervisor.

• Maintain appropriate behavior and noise levels in hospital premises, particularly near patient-care areas.

• Assist the F&B Supervisor in ensuring smooth and timely service.

• Ensure service equipment, tables, trays, crockery, cutlery, and other items are clean and sanitized before use.

• Report any damaged, contaminated, expired, or improperly stored food/service items to the Supervisor.

• Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of food waste and other waste materials.
