Responsibilities & Context

Prottyashi, a social development organization, has been responding to the Rohingya Crisis in Cox`s Bazar since the crisis started and is currently implementing a project in the Rohingya community of Cox’s Bazar with funding from the International Organization of Migration (IOM). Prottyashi invites applications for the vacant position titled TVET Quality Assurance Officer for the “Improving Skills and Market-driven Economic Opportunities For The Rohingya Refugees in Cox’s Bazar” Project.

Reporting

The TVET Quality Assurance Officer will report to the Project Coordinator. S/He has to maintain a functional relationship with peers, project teams, and the organization’s other priority teams. S/He must be able to communicate with other teams and units, both program and operational, of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Developing and implementing quality assurance plans, policies, and procedures for vocational training programs to ensure compliance with established standards and guidelines.
Conduct training sessions and workshops for trainers, assessors, and other relevant staff members to enhance their understanding of quality assurance practices and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Collaborate with trainers and instructors to enhance their teaching methodologies, instructional techniques, and delivery approaches. Provide guidance and support to trainers in implementing effective training strategies.
Monitoring the actual delivery of vocational training programs, including classroom instruction, practical sessions, and on-the-job training, to ensure adherence to established quality standards and instructional methodologies.
Assessing the competency and performance of vocational trainers, providing feedback, and implementing strategies for their professional development to enhance their teaching skills and ensure high-quality instruction.
Reviewing and assessing the vocational training curriculum and training materials to ensure they meet the required standards, are up-to-date, and align with the sector’s objectives.
Overseeing the assessment and certification processes for trainees, ensuring the integrity and validity of assessments, and verifying that certifications are awarded to deserving candidates based on their demonstrated skills and competencies.
Identifying areas for improvement in vocational training processes, methodologies, and resources. Recommending and implementing strategies to enhance the quality, efficiency, and relevance of training programs.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to quality assurance activities, evaluations, and compliance. Prepare reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and actions taken.
