Bachelor`s degree / Diploma in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Fashion Design, or any relevant discipline from a reputed institution.
Additional training/certification in Pattern Making, CAD, or Garment Product Development will be an added advantage.
Must have comprehensive, hands-on expertise in all aspects of Knit garment sample development, covering the full cycle from proto sample to shipment sample.
Must be capable of independently managing the entire Sample Department, including manpower, scheduling, and on-time submission to buyers.
Must have prior experience coordinating with Knitting, Dyeing, Merchandising, and Production departments in a fast-paced export knit factory.
Expert-level knowledge of all knit garment sample development processes, including proto, fit, size set, PP, and shipment samples.
Strong ability to read, interpret, and execute buyer tech packs, spec sheets, and measurement charts accurately.
Solid understanding of knit fabric behavior, GSM, shrinkage, and construction techniques and their impact on fit and measurement.
Working knowledge of pattern making, grading, and CAD systems used in garment sampling.
Strong coordination and communication skills for liaison with Merchandising, Buyers, Production, and Quality teams.
Proficiency in MS Excel/Word for reporting; ERP knowledge is an added advantage.
Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills under tight deadlines.
