We are currently looking for an ambitious individual to join this team as Sr. Executive/Asst. Manager (Transport Maintenance) for Commercial Vehicles.
Job Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise technicians, floor supervisors, and other workshop personnel to ensure effective day-to-day workshop operations.
- Monitor vehicle repair progress, maintenance schedules, delivery timelines, workshop productivity, and technician performance.
- Allocate work effectively and ensure proper coordination among workshop personnel, users, stores, SCM, and other concerned departments.
- Ensure all workshop activities are carried out in compliance with SBG policies, procedures, safety standards, and applicable laws and regulations.
Vehicle Repair & Maintenance:
- Responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial vehicles to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Perform preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance activities to maximize vehicle availability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure all repair and maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with company standards, approved procedures, and vehicle manufacturer guidelines.
- Monitor and calculate Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) for vehicles to support effective maintenance planning and improve workshop efficiency.
- Maintain accurate vehicle maintenance records and contribute to the development and implementation of preventive maintenance schedules.
Spare Parts, Equipment & Tools Management:
- Ensure the availability of required spare parts, equipment, and tools through timely and cost-effective requisition to minimize vehicle downtime.
- Monitor spare parts, equipment, and tools usage to control wastage and ensure optimum utilization.
- Identify obsolete, damaged, or unusable spare parts, equipment, and tools and ensure proper disposal in accordance with company policy.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, re-engineering, workflow optimization, and service delivery enhancement to reduce operational gaps and improve efficiency.
- Develop, review, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for workshop functions and processes.
- Identify opportunities to reduce maintenance costs, vehicle downtime, wastage, and unnecessary expenditure.
- Prepare and provide accurate vehicle-wise expenditure and maintenance analysis within the stipulated timeframe.
SAP & TMS Recording:
- Ensure accurate, timely, and appropriate updating of workshop inventory, maintenance activities, and vehicle-wise expenditure records in SAP, and TMS.
- Prepare and submit periodic workshop performance, maintenance, inventory, and vehicle-wise expenditure reports within the stipulated timeframe.
- Ensure proper documentation and data accuracy for all workshop maintenance activities.
Safety Management:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety rules, regulations, and company requirements to minimize workplace accidents, Lost Time Accidents (LTA), and first-aid cases.
- Plan, implement, and maintain an effective safety structure in accordance with Occupational Safety Structure (OSS) guidelines.
- Conduct safety awareness training, counseling, and fire-fighting drills for workshop employees and staff.
