About the role

We are a UK technology company building an AI-powered platform for the risk, regulation and assurance space, targeting regulated financial institutions. We're looking for a Software/ Product Engineer to help build a new platform. The product thesis has already been validated conceptually with prospective users. The core data model has already been designed — this role implements and hardens that model into a working, queryable system rather than designing one from scratch. The kickoff architecture review exists specifically to pressure-test your proposed implementation against this existing model before you build against it.

This is a remote, WFH role with flexible working hours, you will have the option to work from Dhaka office as well— we care about output delivered against weekly checkpoints, not fixed hours.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and build document ingestion for PDF and Word source material, including structured extraction
• Implement the core evidence-chain data model covering claims, evidence, requirements and conclusions, with the relationships fully queryable
• Build an LLM-driven reasoning pipeline capable of tracing a claim through its evidence and producing a structured, citable answer, linked to precise source locations
• Build a usable interface sufficient for a prospective user to run a live scenario through the system
• Implement appropriate reliability measures, including retries, validation and sensible failure handling, sufficient for live demonstration use
• Define a lightweight approach for evaluating whether the pipeline's outputs are correct against known test scenarios
• Report progress at weekly checkpoints with the Founder
• Participate in a technical architecture review at the start of the engagement and a technical review at delivery
• Prepare a short handover document covering system design and recommended next steps
