Senior Executive (Mold & Product Design)

Context:

• To support the development, modification, and improvement of plastic product and injection mold designs by preparing engineering drawings, 3D models, design documentation, and coordinating with production, tooling, and other relevant teams to ensure designs meet customer requirements, manufacturing feasibility, quality, and cost objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, modify, and optimize plastic product designs based on customer requirements, drawings, and specifications.
• Prepare, review, and maintain 3D models, 2D drawings, GD&T, product specifications, and engineering documents.
• Ensure product designs meet DFM principles, injection molding feasibility, quality, functionality, and cost requirements.
• Develop and review injection mold concepts, mold designs, drawings, BOMs, and related technical documents.
• Evaluate critical mold and product design parameters including shrinkage, draft angles, wall thickness, ribs, bosses, undercuts, parting lines, tolerances, and surface finish.
• Support Mold Flow Analysis, mold trials, product trials, and implementation of necessary design improvements.
• Coordinate with customers, Production, Tool Room, Quality, Maintenance, and other relevant departments for design development and technical issues.
• Identify potential design and manufacturing risks and take necessary corrective actions before production.
• Support cost reduction, productivity improvement, waste reduction, and quality improvement initiatives through effective design solutions.
• Ensure proper design revision control, documentation, 5S, safety, compliance, and company standards are maintained.
