Senior Executive - Commercial & Supply Chain

Job Summary:

The Senior Executive – Commercial & Supply Chain will be responsible for managing and coordinating commercial operations, procurement activities, import and export processes, logistics, inventory coordination, supplier management, and supply chain activities to ensure smooth business operations. The role requires effective coordination with vendors, freight forwarders, customs authorities, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely procurement, shipment clearance, and product availability.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Operations

• Manage import and export documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Coordinate with suppliers, banks, freight forwarders, customs clearing agents, and regulatory authorities for smooth commercial transactions.
• Process and monitor Letters of Credit (LC), TT payments, shipping documents, and other trade-related activities.
• Ensure timely customs clearance and delivery of imported goods.
• Maintain and organize all commercial documents, permits, licenses, and records.
• Monitor shipment status and resolve any issues related to delays or documentation discrepancies.

Procurement & Supplier Management

• Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality standards.
• Obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Prepare purchase orders and monitor procurement activities from requisition to delivery.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
• Evaluate supplier performance and recommend improvements where necessary.

Supply Chain & Logistics Management

• Coordinate inventory planning and stock replenishment to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with relevant departments to forecast demand.
• Coordinate warehousing, transportation, and distribution activities.
• Ensure timely delivery of products while optimizing logistics and operational costs.
• Analyze supply chain performance and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, import policies, VAT, tax, and other regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and submit periodic reports on procurement, inventory, shipment status, and supply chain performance.
• Maintain accurate records of commercial transactions and supply chain activities.
• Assist management in budgeting, cost analysis, and operational planning.

Coordination & Support

• Work closely with Accounts, Sales, Operations, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth execution of commercial and supply chain activities.
• Support management in strategic sourcing and supply chain optimization initiatives.
• Handle any commercial and supply chain-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
