Context:
Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites applications for the position of ‘‘Project Manager’’ from potential Bangladeshi nationals for implementing ‘‘The Blue Economy and Inclusive Development for Climate Justice (BID4CJ) project funded by OXFAM.
Duration: September 20, 2026 to June 30, 2027.
Key Areas of Performance/ Responsibility/Accountability:
- Leading the management of overall activities of "Blue Economy and Inclusiveness Development for Climate Justice (BID4CJ)" project and ensuring proper project cycle management to ensure achievement of objectives and delivery on time.
- Progress reporting for projects using information from various sources.
- Develop project annual development plan in consultation with donors and the community
- Ensuring Government compliance (i.e. FD-6, UNO Certificate) and other relevant administrative documents
- Keeping senior management informed and updating relevant staff and the donor (Oxfam).
- Oversight of financial management and compliance of the project.
- Promoting women and youth leadership for climate justice and natural resource rights.
- Engaging the community in ecosystem management, restoration and other relevant project activities.
- Ensuring safe and inclusive project management
- Periodic review of risks and ensuring risk management actions.
- Prepare periodic, annual, and other relevant reports.
- Working with Oxfam's Programme Quality and Knowledge Management Team for periodic programme quality review, monitoring-evaluation-learning, and partnership health check.
- Communicating to stakeholders at the local level from a justice and equity approach to ensure implementation of the project activities.
- Developing and sustaining partnerships with different stakeholders including youth, activists, scientists, civil society organizations, business sectors and the government of Bangladesh, especially at the grassroots. Enabling team members through coaching, capacity building, and mutual accountability.
- Matrix relationship management with relevant staff members (approximately 5).
- Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to the Prevention of sexual exploitation and Abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote, and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.
Reporting
- Prepare event reports, ToR development, monthly reports, and half yearly/annual report on your assigned responsibilities for the achievement.
