Breaking the Silence is a non-profit, voluntary organization registered with the Department of Social Services (Registration No. 05037, Date: 17 October 2000) and NGOAB (Registration No. 1642, Date: 20 May 2001). The organization works to establish child rights, prevent child abuse and child sexual abuse, prevent child marriage, accelerate child-friendly good governance, improve the quality of education at the primary and pre-primary level, prevent violence against women, empowering children and women. The organization is implementing a project named ‘Protection-Centred and Locally Driven Response for Rohingya Refugees in Cox’s Bazar [PCLDRR] in Ukhiya and Teknaf Rohigya Camp under Cox’s Bazar district. The project is implemented by the support of ‘International Rescue Committee (IRC)’ and financed by ‘DFAT’. BTS is going to recruit the ‘Officer - Case Work’ for the mentioned project and the position’s desk office will be at Ukhiya Upazila in Cox’s Bazar.

Job Description/Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for implementation of child protection case management activities as part of the Rohingya refugee response, for children vulnerable to abuse, exploitation, neglect, and violence, including unaccompanied and separated children and CAFAAG, and other vulnerable and at-risk children.
Position Objectives:
Ensure timely identification, risk analysis, assessment, planning and case management of children harmed or at risk of harm, including unaccompanied & separated children and CAFAAG.
To ensure quality case management, quality service delivery and adherence to global child protection minimum standards - CPMS & Inter Agency Case Management Guideline.
Collaborate and Coordination with CiC office, CP actors, CP Case management actors, Service providers to effectively manage caseloads, ensure timely referrals, and strengthen inter-agency coordination.
Role Dimensions:
The Officer - Case Worker is responsible for ensuring the identification, registration, risk analysis, assessment, case plan, plan implementation & referral, and follow up for children in accordance with their needs and vulnerabilities in line with Data Protection Information Sharing Protocols. She/he will also provide direct support, alternative care support, family tracing, CAFAAG - CM support, GST session support to caregiver(parents) and reunification support in line with internal standards and Inter-agency guidelines.

Position Reports to: Technical Officer – Case Management Position directly supervises: Volunteers & Mobilizers.
Others: Be able and willing to respond to Child Protection or emergency situations, when needed and any other task assigned by Supervisor and /or Senior Management of BTS.
Tenure of Services Contract:
3 (Three) months probation period. After successful completion of the probation period, based on the performance of the staff and recommendation from the supervisor, the post may be continued till the project’s lifetime.
