NOC Engineer - ISP

Job Summary: The NOC Engineer is responsible for Level-2 technical support, troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and fault resolution of the ISP broadband access network, with a focus on FTTH/GPON, OLT/ONU, fiber infrastructure, MikroTik/CPE, VLAN, PPPoE, DHCP, IPv4/IPv6, and access-network operations. The role also supports Level-1 technicians and escalates complex issues to Network Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot broadband connectivity across Customer → ONU/ONT → Fiber → OLT → Aggregation → ISP Network.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot OLT, ONU/ONT, GPON/EPON, MikroTik, and customer CPE.
• Perform optical power, OTDR and fiber testing, fault identification, patching, and restoration coordination.
• Troubleshoot VLAN, PPPoE, DHCP, NAT, IPv4/IPv6, routing, latency, packet loss, and speed-related issues.
• Monitor network alarms, interfaces, utilization, optical levels, and access-network health through NMS tools.
• Handle escalated customer faults, recurring connectivity issues, service activation, and approved configuration changes.
• Conduct preventive maintenance of OLT, switches, routers, fiber infrastructure, and POP equipment.
• Guide and support Level-1/field technicians in customer installation, troubleshooting, and fault restoration.
• Maintain network documentation, prepare incident/RCA reports, and escalate core, BGP, OSPF, CGNAT, security, and major infrastructure issues to Network Manager.
