Lead and supervise Non-Denim Woven Fabric R&D and Product Development activities.
Develop and improve Yarn-Dyed, Solid-Dyed, Stretch, Dobby/Structured, Rotary Printed and Digital Printed fabrics.
Analyze and develop fabrics based on composition, yarn count, EPI/PPI, weave, GSM, width, stretch, shrinkage, hand feel, color and finishing requirements.
Coordinate fabric development from initial concept/reference → sample development → testing → modification → final approval.
Work closely with Marketing and Designer teams to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Coordinate with Weaving, Dyeing, Printing and Finishing teams to resolve development and production-related technical issues.
Evaluate new yarns, fabric constructions, designs, finishes and processing techniques for product innovation.
Review development samples for construction, GSM, width, color, hand feel, shrinkage, stretch and overall quality.
Conduct technical trials and support troubleshooting of fabric development and technical problems.
Coordinate with Laboratory and Quality teams for required testing and performance evaluation.
Work with Costing to evaluate technical alternatives and ensure the commercial feasibility of developments.
Maintain development T&A, technical records, sample status and product specifications.
Ensure timely completion of assigned developments and proactively resolve technical delays and development bottlenecks.
Support seasonal collections and new product development based on market trends and customer requirements.
Maintain awareness of new woven constructions, finishes, yarns, printing techniques and textile technologies.
Guide and supervise R&D team members and ensure effective coordination and timely completion of development activities.
