Manager-Purchase (SCM)

Job Purpose:

Trans Asia Industries Ltd., a renowned automobile manufacturing company in Bangladesh, is seeking a dynamic, result-oriented, and experienced Manager–Purchase (SCM) who will lead and manage procurement and supply chain activities by ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials, components, and services required for automobile manufacturing operations. The role will be responsible for supplier management, procurement planning, inventory coordination, cost optimization, and uninterrupted material availability to support production targets and business objectives.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate vendors and suppliers based on price, quality, delivery performance, and reliability.
• Negotiate favorable pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contract conditions with suppliers.
• Coordinate with Inventory Control, Production, and Finance teams to manage procurement budgets and prevent material shortages.
• Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, components, consumables, and services to support uninterrupted operations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent supply and service quality.
• Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and material costs to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare purchase orders, procurement reports, MIS, and other relevant documentation accurately and timely.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and approval authorities.
• Resolve supplier-related issues, including quality concerns, delivery delays, and contractual disputes.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in sourcing, procurement planning, inventory optimization, and supply chain efficiency.
• Perform any other duties or assignments as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
• Candidate Should have:
• Strong knowledge of Procurement, Supply Chain Management, and Inventory Control.
• Experience in sourcing automotive parts, raw materials, consumables, and capital equipment.
• Excellent vendor evaluation, negotiation, and contract management skills.
• Knowledge of local and international sourcing procedures and import regulations.
• Ability to analyze market trends, material costs, and supplier performance.
• Strong understanding of inventory planning, stock optimization, and material requirement planning (MRP).
