Context:
Gana Unnayan Kendra (GUK) is seeking a qualified and committed person for the position of Head of IT to strengthening organizational IT system.
Job Responsibility:
- Ensure smooth IT operations, manage projects within company budget, oversee data backup & recovery, reduce IT yearly cost, and lead IT policy making
- Oversee overall IT operations and ensure smooth, uninterrupted functioning of all IT systems and services.
- Collect, collate and process information and perform data quality and consistency control.
- Manage IT-related projects or Programme within approved company Orgnaization budget and timelines.
- Take full responsibility for data backup and recovery operations, ensuring business continuity.
- Identify opportunities to reduce IT yearly costs without compromising quality or security.
- Formulate, update, and enforce IT policies across the organization.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor the team of IT staff.
- Design and implement IT strategies, systems, and infrastructure aligned with business goals.
- Identify and eliminate IT security risks; ensure data and network security at all levels.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into appropriate IT needs and systems.
- Evaluate IT operations and performance against established organizational goals.
- Maintain effective communication within the IT team and across other departments as needed.
- Assess the need for new equipment, technology, and software, and recommend procurement accordingly.
- Prepare progress reports and budget reports for upper management on a regular basis.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with outside vendors, both national and international.
- Manage the company's IT help desk and ensure timely resolution of user issues.
- Contribute to overall team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
