Head of Accounts

We are looking for an experienced, responsible and result-oriented Head of Accounts to lead and manage the company's overall accounting operations. The candidate should have strong practical knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, ledger management, station-wise accounting and preparation of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.

The company operates multiple CNG and LPG stations, where daily sales, gas purchases, expenses and other transactions need to be properly recorded, monitored and analyzed. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely accounting for the Head Office as well as individual stations.

Overall Accounting Management

• Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts.

• Maintain Debit/Credit, Journal, Ledger, Cash Book and Bank Book.

• Ensure proper recording and classification of all financial transactions.

• Monitor monthly transactions and ensure timely closing of accounts.

• Maintain proper documentation and supporting vouchers for all transactions.

Financial Statements & Reports

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual Profit & Loss Statement.

• Prepare Balance Sheet / Statement of Financial Position.

• Prepare Cash Flow Statement and other management reports as required.

• Prepare Accounts Receivable (Receivables) and Accounts Payable (Payables) reports.

• Prepare bank reconciliation and other necessary reconciliation statements.

• Provide accurate financial information to management for decision-making.

Station-wise Accounting & Monitoring

• Maintain separate accounting records for each CNG/LPG station.

• Prepare station-wise Sales, Purchase, Expenses and Profit/Loss reports.

• Monitor daily sales transactions of individual stations.

• Analyze station-wise revenue, cost and profitability.

• Identify unusual expenses, discrepancies and accounting irregularities and report them to management.

Gas Purchase & Sales Accounting

• Maintain accurate records of gas/LPG purchase quantity and value.

• Record and monitor daily gas sales from each station.

• Reconcile gas purchased vs. gas sold vs. stock/remaining quantity.

• Prepare monthly gas purchase and sales summaries.

• Monitor purchase cost, selling price, gross margin and station-wise profitability.

Team Management

• Supervise and monitor the Accounts team working under the Head of Accounts.

• Allocate responsibilities among team members and review their work.

• Ensure timely submission of station-wise accounts and reports.

• Train and guide subordinate accounting staff where necessary.

Internal Control & Compliance

• Establish and maintain proper accounting procedures and internal controls.

• Monitor cash collection, deposits, expenses and bank transactions.

• Ensure proper reconciliation of station cash and bank deposits.

• Assist management during audit and provide necessary schedules and documents.

• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, tax and VAT requirements.
