Experience Requirements
At least 5-8 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control in Knit Garments, preferably in a reputed export-oriented garments factory/group of companies.
Candidates having experience with international buyers/brands and customer-specific quality requirements will be given preference.
Strong knowledge of AQL, Inline/End-line/Final Inspection, RCA, CAPA, 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, Quality KPI and Continuous Improvement.
Must have strong knowledge of Knit Garments manufacturing processes and quality standards.
Responsible for ensuring overall quality assurance activities for Knit Garments from development to final shipment.
Monitor and control quality standards at fabric, cutting, sewing, finishing, packing and shipment stages.
Ensure products are manufactured according to customer requirements, approved Tech Pack, Specification, Measurement, Construction, Workmanship and Quality Standards.
Review customer requirements, technical specifications, inspection procedures and quality manuals and ensure proper implementation at factory level.
Develop, implement and monitor Quality Assurance systems, procedures, SOPs, inspection standards and quality control plans.
Lead and supervise QA/QC teams and ensure effective manpower utilization according to production requirements.
Conduct regular inline, end-line and final inspections and ensure proper corrective actions against identified quality issues.
Analyze quality inspection reports, identify recurring defects and implement effective Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Ensure AQL standards are properly maintained throughout the production and finishing process.
Monitor critical quality points including measurement, workmanship, appearance, shade, GSM, shrinkage, color fastness, fabric defects, print/embroidery quality and finishing quality.
Coordinate with Production, Merchandising, IE, Cutting, Sewing, Finishing and Technical teams to resolve quality-related issues.
Participate in pre-production meetings and identify potential quality risks before bulk production starts.
Ensure PP Meeting, Pilot Run, Size Set, TOP Sample, Inline Inspection, Final Inspection and Shipment Approval are conducted as per customer requirements.
Review and analyze customer complaints, inspection failures, rejection reports and quality performance trends and ensure timely corrective actions.
Maintain proper QA files, inspection reports, quality records, defect analysis, CAPA records and other quality-related documentation.
Monitor factory quality performance through KPI, DHU, RFT, rejection rate, alteration rate and customer complaint analysis.
Ensure all quality personnel understand and properly implement customer-specific quality standards and procedures.
Conduct regular quality meetings with production and relevant departments and follow up on action plans.
Coordinate with external/customer QA, third-party inspectors and auditors during inspections and assessments.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, defect reduction, productivity improvement and quality cost reduction.
Ensure effective implementation of quality improvement initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
Train and develop QA/QC personnel regarding quality standards, inspection techniques, defect identification and customer requirements.
Ensure ethical behavior and professional business practices within the QA function and maintain organizational standards.
Prepare regular Quality Performance Reports for management and provide recommendations for improvement.
Any other quality-related responsibilities assigned by the management.
