Company Description Bangladesh India Friendship Power Company Ltd is a 50:50 joint venture between NTPC and the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB), developing the Maitree Super Thermal Power Project (2x660 MW) in Bagerhat District, Khulna Division, Bangladesh.
The project site is strategically located near Khulna City and Mongla Port, and is designed to supply 100% of its generated power to BPDB. Power evacuation is planned through 400 kV and 220 kV double circuit transmission lines connecting to the Dhaka ring main and Khulna substation.
