Designer / Sr. Fashion Designer

Responsible for developing and executing innovative, commercially viable fashion designs aligned with brand identity, market trends, and customer preferences. The role involves trend research, concept development, mood boards, fabric and color selection, design detailing, and collaboration with merchandising, production, and other cross-functional teams. The Senior Designer will also guide the design process, ensure quality and timely execution, and contribute to new product and collection development.

• Lead the design of formal trousers for the UK market and performance wear for the Canadian market, ensuring alignment with customer expectations, market trends, and brand identity.
• Source fabrics directly from mills and establish strong relationships with suppliers for trims and materials. Ensure that all sourced fabrics meet quality and performance standards.
• Manage and mentor a team of junior designers, providing guidance, feedback, and support to help them grow professionally.
• Collaborate directly with buyers, presenting design concepts, samples, and specifications. Ensure client requirements and deadlines are met.
• Contribute to the development of brand identity and storytelling for each collection, ensuring designs communicate a strong narrative that resonates with target customers.
• Work on presentations for clients and internal stakeholders, and support the development of marketing tools and promotional materials.
• Utilize 3D design software (e.g., Clo3D, Gerber) to create virtual prototypes and presentations where applicable.
• Stay up to date with current fashion trends and competitors in the UK and Canadian markets. Integrate these insights into design development.
• Work closely with the production and quality control teams to ensure designs meet the highest standards of quality and are produced within budget and timelines.
