PURPOSE:
To develop, maintain, and automate the organisation's reporting infrastructure — ensuring that management, programme teams, and field operations have accurate, timely, and actionable data.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to support recurring and ad-hoc reporting needs.
- Develop and maintain automated data pipelines that move data from transactional (OLTP) systems into the analytics/reporting (OLAP) layer.
- Design, build, and publish Power BI dashboards and reports; manage datasets and DAX measures.
- Use Python for data cleaning, validation, analysis, and automation of repetitive reporting tasks.
- Perform data quality checks and reconciliation; investigate and resolve discrepancies between source systems and reports.
- Build and maintain advanced Excel models, reconciliations, and templates for departments that work outside the BI environment.
- Translate business questions from program and management teams into analytical requirements and deliver clear, well-documented outputs.
- Document data definitions, business logic, and report specifications so that reporting remains reproducible and auditable.
- Support ad-hoc analysis and management reporting requests as required.
