Consultant / Specialist - Gastroenterology & Hepatology

• MBBS from a recognized medical college.
• MD / FCPS in Gastroenterology preferred.
• Candidates with MD/FCPS in Hepatology may also apply.
• Valid BMDC registration is mandatory. BMDC is the statutory authority responsible for registration and standards of medical practice in Bangladesh.

Preference:

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

• MD/FCPS Gastroenterology + Independent Endoscopy & Colonoscopy experience
• Candidates with ERCP/EUS experience will receive additional preference.

• Age At least 22 years

Required Clinical & Procedural Skills:

The candidate should have practical experience and confidence in performing:

• Upper GI Endoscopy (OGD)
• Colonoscopy
• Diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures
• Endoscopic biopsy and specimen collection
• Polypectomy, where appropriately trained
• Management of GI bleeding
• Management of common Gastrointestinal and Hepatobiliary diseases
• Liver disease and chronic liver disease management
• Pre- and post-endoscopy patient assessment
• Appropriate interpretation of endoscopy findings and preparation of reports
• ERCP / EUS experience will be considered an additional advantage.

Experience:

• Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience in Endoscopy & Colonoscopy.
• Candidates who can independently perform routine diagnostic GI procedures will receive strong preference.
• Experience in a reputed hospital, medical college hospital, gastroenterology centre or diagnostic facility will be an advantage.
