Commercial Officer-Customs Bond (LC and Import-Export) and licensing

1. Possess experience and capability to independently handle banking matters and import-export

documentation related to Letter of Credit (L/C), Documents against Payment (DP), Documents

against Acceptance (DA), Cash Against Documents (CAD).

2. Capable of compiling, maintaining and providing import-export-related banking documents

concerning L/C, Telegraphic Transfer (TT), Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) and Foreign

Demand Draft (FDD).

3. Independently prepare and submit required import-export documents, including LC, DP, DA, CAD,

LCA, UP, UD, EXP, CI, PL, SC, BL, CO, Bill of Entry, Bill of Export and other documents.

4. Verify the accuracy and completeness of shipping, import-export and customs documents.

5. Perform job-related work and permission applications for BIDA, BTMC, CCI&E, NBR, EPB and

relevant corporations as required. Conduct field visits and collect required data & documents as

per supervisor’s instruction.

6. Have experience in applying for new Customs Bond License for the company and assisting for

Bond License Renewal; ensure all necessary permits, licenses and certification documents are

complete and valid.

7. Prepare and submit documents for customs audit; manage bonded warehouse, Bond certificate

and all bond-related activities. Safely keep detailed records of all customs transactions &

clearance procedures and all documents pertaining to responsibilities.

8. Maintain verbal and e-mail correspondence & communication with port authorities, shipping

parties, Customs, Banks, C&F agents and other relevant stakeholders to coordinate and expedite

import-export operational workflows.

9. Regularly update the operation team on shipment and customs clearance progress; resolve

on-site unexpected issues including valuation disputes, tariff adjustments and various other

challenges.

10. Conduct operations regarding HS Code, Customs Act, Import Policy, Export Policy, Bond

formalities and other applicable laws & regulations for import & export. Must have desire and

interest to learn knowledge of HS Codes under Bangladesh Customs Act. Keep close track of

Bangladesh customs regulations, tariff policies and duty-rate structures to ensure all goods comply

with import-export restrictions and trade policy requirements.

11. Prepare necessary statements and reports in line with management’s requirements. Able to

perform any other work assigned by management; escalate unsolvable issues to senior

management in a timely manner in advance.

12. Must have desire to learn and co-ordinate with Area Office, Factory, Sales and Marketing

departments to handle tax-related issues.
