The Child Protection Officer (Case Management & CPIMS+) will play a lead role in strengthening child protection systems through effective case management and robust information management. The post will manage the integration and implementation of the Child Protection Information Management System (CPIMS+), ensure ethical and quality data management, and enhance the capacity of partners and frontline workers to deliver timely, child-centered case management services. The role involves providing technical guidance, facilitating training, coordinating implementation across partners, and delivering actionable insights through data analysis and visualization to inform programming and policy decisions.
In addition, the Child Protection Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for the child protection programmes/projects through the application of theoretical and technical skills in researching, collecting, analyzing, and presenting technical programme information while learning organizational rules, regulations and procedures to support the development and formulation of the Child Protection Programme within the Country Programme.
The Child Protection Officer will work in close collaboration with the Coordination architecture, Child Protection Sub-Sector, GBV Sub-Sector, and Case Management Technical Working Group, and stakeholders to ensure that children and families receive child protection support through the standard child protection case management system.
The Child Protection Officer will report to the Child Protection Manager (P4) with a dotted line to the Programme Officer CPSS Coordination (NOB) for technical oversight.
