The FWF-funded research project Max Kalbeck: Networking Practices in Vienna 1900 (Project lead: Henrike Rost) investigates how artists and music-loving elites networked in Vienna around 1900. The project takes as its starting point the two unpublished diaries of the music critic and Brahms biographer Max Kalbeck and the numerous contacts and encounters documented therein ( https://www.mdw.ac.at/imi/max-kalbeck/ ).
