Varies by grant. Most cover a monthly allowance, insurance and a fee waiver for study or research at an Austrian university; the Ernst Mach Grant is the best known of them.

Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) · Poland

Depends on the programme. Several NAWA schemes cover a monthly stipend and a tuition waiver at Polish public universities for full degrees or for research stays.

MASTERS, PHDDeadline: Each NAWA programme runs its own call, most of them in the first half of the year.

Research Grants Council of Hong Kong · Hong Kong

A monthly stipend and a conference and research-related travel allowance for up to three years of PhD study at a Hong Kong university, usually with the university adding a tuition waiver.

PHDDeadline: An initial application to the scheme in the autumn, followed by a full application to the chosen university shortly after.

King Abdullah University of Science and Technology · Saudi Arabia

Full tuition, a monthly living allowance, on-campus housing, medical and dental coverage, and relocation support, for admitted master's and doctoral students.

The Rotary Foundation · United States

Tuition and fees, room and board, round-trip transport and field study expenses at one of the Rotary Peace Centers, which include universities in the United States and elsewhere. Up to about 170 fellowships a year across the master's and certificate tracks.

P.E.O. International · United States

A scholarship towards graduate study in the United States or Canada. It is a contribution to the year's costs, awarded on need as well as merit, rather than a full package.

MASTERS, PHDDeadline: Eligibility must be established first, in the winter, with the application following shortly after for the next academic year.

Margaret McNamara Education Grants (World Bank Family Network) · United States

A one-off grant towards the costs of graduate study, for women from developing countries already enrolled at an accredited institution. It supplements existing funding rather than replacing it.
