About MATA
MATA 2027 is the Materials Today Conference 2027, a materials science conference. It takes place on 18 July 2027 in Montpellier, France. Full papers are due 5 February 2027.
Join leading scientists, early-career researchers and industry experts from across the international materials science community at the Materials Today Conference 2027.
Organised in partnership with the Materials Today family of journals, this third conference in the series will showcase the latest advances and emerging directions in materials science.
The program will explore four key areas:
1. Biological and bio-inspired materials 2. AI for materials science and computational materials science 3. Energy and battery materials 4. Functional and structural materials
Abstracts are invited for oral and poster presentations with several awards available for the best contributions.

Before you submit
- Read the full call for papers — page limits, template (IEEE, ACM, LNCS …) and whether review is double-blind.
- Deadlines are usually 23:59 Anywhere on Earth (AoE) — convert to Bangladesh time (UTC+6) and aim to submit a day early.
- At least one author normally has to register and present; budget for the fee and, for in-person events, a visa appointment well before the conference.
- Look for student travel grants and volunteer programmes — most large conferences run both, with deadlines soon after notification.
