About this course

Computer and Information Technology carries **15 marks** in the BCS preliminary — the same as General Science and Mathematics — and ICT questions also appear in bank and non-cadre exams. The questions are predictable: hardware components, memory units, number systems, networking terms, internet protocols, cybersecurity and Bangladesh's digital programmes. This course covers computer fundamentals and generations, hardware and memory, input and output devices, number systems, operating systems and software, programming and algorithms, databases, networks, the internet and the web, cybersecurity, Bangladesh's cyber law and ICT policy, e-governance, e-commerce and mobile financial services, emerging technologies, multimedia, sectoral ICT applications, the ICT industry, and exam strategy. No programming experience is needed. Everything is explained from the ground up, with the exam-relevant facts highlighted.
