About this course
Two decisions shape a BCS candidate's outcome as much as any amount of study: **which cadres to choose**, and **how honestly to test yourself**. Both are usually made carelessly. The choice form is filled in minutes and governs a career of decades; model tests are taken without analysis and therefore teach nothing. This course covers both, and then the thing the whole examination is for: **the career itself** — what officers in each cadre do, how the pay and promotion structure works, what the first year is like, and what the job asks of a person over a lifetime. Read it early in your preparation rather than at the end. Candidates who understand the career prepare differently, choose better and sustain the effort longer.
